Courier Development FAQs

Answers on websites, apps, tracking, integrations, cost and support.

What does courier delivery website and app development include?

It can include a public booking and tracking website, a customer app, a driver app and a web dashboard for dispatch and administration. We agree the platforms, shipment lifecycle, payment rules and integrations for your first release.

Can we start with a courier website and add apps later?

Yes. A responsive booking and tracking website can be the first release. Planning a shared backend and shipment API makes it easier to add customer and driver apps when your operations need them.

How much does a courier delivery app cost?

Cost depends on the number of apps and user roles, dispatch rules, live location, proof of delivery, payment flows and integrations. A booking website has a different scope from a multi-city customer-and-driver platform. We prepare a written estimate after agreeing the feature backlog and launch requirements.

How long does development take?

We confirm the schedule after discovery, design and integration review. A phased launch can begin with booking, manual assignment and status tracking, then add driver automation, merchant integrations and branch workflows. API access, design feedback, migration and store review affect the timeline.

Can customers track a courier in real time?

Yes, when live location is included in the scope. Driver location updates depend on device permissions, network coverage, battery settings and the mapping service. The customer interface should show the last update time and a clear fallback when live location is unavailable.

Can drivers collect proof of delivery?

Yes. We can configure OTP confirmation, signatures, delivery photographs and timestamped handover records. The selected evidence, access permissions and retention period are agreed around your operations and delivery requirements.

Can the platform handle cash on delivery and returns?

Yes. COD workflows can record amounts due, driver collections, remittances and reconciliation exceptions. Returns can include pickup requests, attempt reasons, parcel condition records and hub handover. These workflows are scoped alongside your finance and support processes.

Can you connect our store, carrier or existing software?

We review the available APIs for ecommerce platforms, carriers, mapping tools, payment providers and your CRM or accounting system. The integration scope identifies field ownership, credentials, status mapping, retries and how failed updates are resolved.

Can we manage several branches or delivery zones?

Yes. Branches and zones can have their own coverage, rate cards, drivers and operating hours. Shared shipment records and role-based permissions help central teams coordinate transfers while local dispatchers manage their assigned areas.

Who owns the source code and handles support?

The written agreement defines source-code handover, account ownership, third-party licences, the defect-fix period and ongoing support. Hosting, maps, messaging and other usage-based services are identified separately in the proposal.
