Event App Development Cost & Scope Guide

Compare Digittrix’s indicative USD pricing for an event website, website with mobile apps, and multi-organiser marketplace. Understand delivery assumptions and running costs before requesting a quote.

Published by Digittrix · Updated

The short answer

Digittrix’s indicative event website price is USD 1,499 with a 2–3 week delivery estimate. Website + Android/iOS apps are USD 1,500–2,499 with a 4–6 week estimate. A multi-organiser marketplace starts at USD 2,500 and 6 weeks. Tax is excluded; six months of technical support for bugs is included. Final scope and milestones are confirmed in the proposal.

Choose the first release before comparing prices

An event booking website development cost estimate should name the people who will use the system and what each person must complete. Start with one event format, ticket rules and organiser workflow. A venue enquiry website, conference agenda app and marketplace with organiser settlements are different products, even when they share a booking screen.

The indicative prices below apply to an agreed starting scope. The feature lists on our service page are possible capabilities, not a promise that every capability is included in each price. Ask for the deliverable list, exclusions and acceptance checks in writing.

Event website

USD 1,499

Indicative delivery: 2–3 weeks

A focused registration and ticket-booking website with organiser administration.

Website + mobile apps

USD 1,500–2,499

Indicative delivery: 4–6 weeks

A connected website and Android/iOS app release with agreed attendee and staff workflows.

Discuss this scope

Multi-organiser marketplace

USD 2,500+

Indicative delivery: 6 weeks+

A starting marketplace release with agreed organiser access, listings and booking operations.

Discuss this scope

Tax excluded. Six months of technical support for bugs included. Prices and timelines are indicative for an agreed starting scope. Package limits and extra features are quoted per project. Included features, exclusions and delivery milestones are confirmed in the written proposal. App-store review and provider onboarding can affect launch dates. Hosting, messaging, payment fees, streaming and app-store accounts are identified separately; new features and ongoing maintenance need an agreed scope.

Included after handover

Six Months of Bug Support

Technical support for covered bugs is included with your event website or app. Package limits and extra features are quoted per project.

When support starts
Six calendar months from the production handover date recorded in writing. Separate release dates can be recorded for the website and apps.
What counts as a covered bug
No additional charge for correcting defects in Digittrix-delivered code that prevent agreed features from working as specified, within the agreed devices, software versions and capacity limits.
How to report an issue
Report issues through the support email or project ticket channel designated at handover. Include reproduction steps, expected behaviour, screenshots and the affected device/version.
Support hours
Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm IST, excluding holidays notified to the client. Requests outside these hours enter the next support window.
Investigation and resolution
After investigation, we provide a workaround or estimated fix schedule. Timing depends on complexity, access and third-party dependencies. We communicate blockers and revised estimates.
Work quoted separately
New features, redesigns, content changes, migrations, increased capacity, compatibility work for new platform versions, hosting, monitoring, backups and ongoing maintenance are quoted separately.
Issues with an external cause
Provider outages and issues caused by client or third-party changes require assessment. We explain the cause and obtain approval before chargeable work. Unrelated covered bugs remain covered.
Event-day coverage
Weekend, overnight, on-site and dedicated event-day standby are quoted separately and confirmed in advance.
What happens at expiry
Covered bugs reported during the six-month period remain eligible for correction after expiry. Fixes do not restart the support period. Further maintenance is quoted separately.

First human response targets

These acknowledgement and triage targets are counted only during support hours. They are not guaranteed repair times.

Critical 4 business hours
Production unavailable or widespread booking/check-in failure.
Major 1 business day
An important feature is broken with a usable workaround.
Minor 2 business days
An isolated or cosmetic issue.

What changes the estimate?

A short scope document helps suppliers quote the same work. Compare what is delivered rather than comparing a feature count or an unexplained total.

  • Ticket rules: reserved seating, group orders, capacity holds, transfers, cancellations and partial refunds add different states to design and test.
  • Roles: an attendee, organiser, gate operator, exhibitor and marketplace administrator need different permissions and screens.
  • Mobile scope: agree whether one cross-platform codebase or separate native apps is appropriate, which devices are supported and what works offline.
  • Integrations: confirm provider accounts, available APIs, payment countries, CRM field mappings, streaming access and migration quality.
  • Capacity: specify peak registrations and concurrent gate devices. Daily traffic alone does not describe a ticket-release surge.

Separate the build from the operating budget

Estimate year-one cost as development + applicable tax + provider setup + recurring services + usage charges + any separately agreed maintenance or enhancements. Record who owns each account and pays each bill.

Hosting, email/SMS, payment-provider fees, streaming and app-store accounts are identified separately in the proposal. Ask whether monitoring, backups, upgrades and event-day coverage are included; they should not be inferred from a general support statement.

Six months of technical support for bugs is included in the prices above. New features and ongoing service commitments need their own written scope. The support start date, channels and response arrangements should be confirmed in the agreement.

Plan backwards from the first event

The delivery estimates assume an agreed scope and timely access to content, accounts and approvals. App-store review and payment-provider onboarding are external dependencies. Confirm whether the quoted milestone means a review build, a production release or public app-store availability.

Reserve time for organiser training and a rehearsal using representative tickets, devices and network conditions. If the event date is fixed, move lower-priority features into a later release before removing payment or entry testing.

Bring a brief that can be estimated

Use the project brief on our event development page to carry these starting details into an enquiry. A written proposal should resolve the remaining assumptions before work begins.

  • Event format, first live date, venues and expected attendees.
  • Website, mobile apps and staff tools needed for the first release.
  • Ticket categories, payment countries, refund rules and re-entry policy.
  • Current systems, data to migrate and required integrations.
  • Acceptance checks, ownership requirements and support expectations.
Put the guidance into practice

Worked example: budget for a first event website

Imagine an organiser launching a responsive registration website for one conference. They do not need attendee apps, streaming or a multi-organiser marketplace in this first release. This is a fictional planning scenario; it does not establish the limits or inclusions of a Digittrix package.

Use the published USD 1,499 website starting price only if the proposal confirms that the agreed scope fits. For arithmetic practice, assume hosting at USD 25/month, email at USD 10/month and a domain at USD 15/year. These operating amounts are invented examples, not provider quotes.

On smaller screens, scroll sideways to compare the columns.

USD 1,934 is a partial planning subtotal, not a complete year-one quote. Replace each example amount with an agreed quote, add usage-based charges and leave unknown amounts visibly unresolved. The worksheet keeps the full-budget result incomplete until every cost row has a numeric amount and quantity; use zero only when a cost is genuinely not applicable.
